Stephen Ornes writes about cancer research, math, physics, and astronomy. He writes in a converted office shed in his backyard in Nashville, Tennessee, and teaches an undergraduate class in science communication at Vanderbilt University. Stephen’s work has appeared in Scientific American, Cancer Today, Discover, New Scientist, PNAS, Men’s Fitness, onEarth and other outlets. He has received a AAAS/Kavli science journalism award, and his medical reporting has been recognized by awards from the Association of Health Care Journalists and the American Society of Journalists and Authors. His feature article on the longest math proof in history appeared in the 2016 volume of Best American Science and Nature Writing.
